Glycerol, or glycerin, is a molecule abundant in our body. It appears as an odourless, transparent and sweet- flavoured liquid. It can have different uses, thanks to its moisturizing and laxative properties. In fact, its main effect is dehydration, but if taken together with fluids, it is capable of increasing the body’s total water content. This behaviour is exploited mainly in sport activities, to improve temperature control and resistance in areas with a particularly warm climate. Hydration is very important and may strongly affect performance during exercise or racing. In addition to this, muscle dehydration can contribute to the onset of cramps.
Warning: glycerol may cause laxative effect. Keep the product out of the reach of young children.
