Omega 3/6/9 is a nutritional supplement of Omega-3 (EPA, DHA), Omega-6 (GLA, linoleic acid) and Omega-9 (oleic acid) families of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3 are long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids from fish oil (abundant in oily fish). Borage oil is extracted from Borago officinalis plant and is rich in the unsaturated fatty acid known as GLA (gamma-linoleic acid, Omega-6 family). Borago officinalis contributes to the integrity and functioning of cellular membranes. Oleic acid (belonging to the Omega-9 family) is an unsaturated fatty acid which supports the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in the bloodstream. Vitamin E is important to protect unsaturated fatty acids from oxidation
